Chuck says good bye

Dear Overcards Readers,

We finished the season grading against Pinnacle's line last year at 63-59-2 for +.93 units. After a bad run we turned it around in the playoffs to barely get us to profitable. It certainly was a frustrating season, as it seemed I was bailing water for most of it.

The NBA is a long and tough grind and rarely is there a day off once you start. It takes a lot of dedication and hard work to even approach hitting 54% which is where I believe I need to be in order for the NBA to be profitable for me. I will continue to do my work (I have already put in around 60 hours of study/data mining before the first game).

Due to some new commitments, I have decided not to post on Overcards this year. I will leave you with a couple of season win picks I have played for this year. In the past these have been very good to me and at decent prices. The last 3-4 years these have not been as much of a candy store in opening numbers, thus we have become more selective the last couple years.

Utah over 51.5 -125 Pinnacle Sports Utah has a good mix and young and old with one of the best coaches in the league. I look for some of the other West teams to play below expectations and I think Utah gets to 55-58 wins this year

Indiana over 35.5-101 Pinnacle Sports Think the off court stuff settles a bit there this year. Look for this team to improve and get over this number.

Will be interesting year to say the least. Portland with Oden Can they make a run. Lakers look like the team to beat but lots of interesting stories out West.

Can Boston do it again. Don't think they will get off to the flying start they had last year. New young talent in the east as well.
